Visiting A New Church Can Be Intimidating

What should I wear?  Where do I park?  Where do my kids go?

We understand the many thoughts that can come from visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit.

If you have any additional questions, contact us here.

What's A Service Like?

Both of our services are similar, with worship time and sermons lasting about 75-80 minutes.

Services at our Yuma Campus are Sunday Mornings at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

We may teach verse by verse, or teach a sermon series on a relevant topic.

The sermon usually lasts about 35-45 minutes.

If you want to hear a sample of the preaching before you come, all of our sermons are here online for your listening enjoyment!

Worship and Music

Worship20180124 6019 kd2aev
At Church for the City, we are committed to striving for excellence in our musicianship, singing and modeling Biblical examples of praise and worship.

We have an amazing community of musicians and singers who give their best every weekend to make our worship experiences musically and spiritually amazing.

It’s all for one purpose—not to experience a band, but to experience God through our times of worship through music.

Where Do My Kids Go?

Ctc kids20180124 31202 13k5fge
At CTC our Children’s Ministry is much more than “childcare”.

We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way.

The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids.

If you are a guest…

When you arrive you will be greeted by someone from our Guest Services Team.

Our team members will be happy to escort you to the appropriate room for your child and get them checked in.

You’ll be handed a sticker with your name, your child’s name, what class your child is in, and a number that identifies your child.

Should your child need you during the service, the number on your sticker will appear on the lower part of the screens (or in the small boxes above them).

Our children’s ministry is broken up into the following ages:

Nursery (3-24 months)
Toddlers: (2’s and 3’s)
Pre K -K: (4’s-K)
Kids Church (Grades 1-6)

Security Is Important To Us
So when you drop off and pick up your child, we’ll make sure the numbers on your stickers and your child’s sticker match before admitting or dismissing them to or from class.

Should you ever have any questions, any member of our staff or any of our volunteers will be happy to help you!

Also, if you have any questions about CTC Kids before attending a service, you can always contact any of the CTC team to find answers to those questions.

What Should I Wear?

Clothes to wear20180125 23394 12ger8s
We want you to feel comfortable.

After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing.

n the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt.

Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too!

We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Am I Expected To Put Money In The Offering?

Give money20180125 17611 o0ldeq
If you’re visiting with us, we don’t expect you to give in the offering.

Do you consider CTC your church home?

If so, we would love for you to prayerfully consider giving.

You can give by check or cash at weekend services or any time during the week when you’re on campus, or you can set up an online giving account.

Scripture is full of different reasons why to give and if you are wanting to learn more about what giving and tithing are, please visit our giving page.
